Grandparent's Council

As grandparents, you are a vital part of our school community. Possessing multiple talents and skills, you are a valuable resource. The Holy Comforter Episcopal School Grandparents’ Council has been established to create a venue for grandparents to become more involved with their grandchildren’s school while supporting the school’s mission at the same time.

The Council is an inclusive group that welcomes any interested grandparent or surrogate grandparent. One of the main council duties will be to promote all the ways grandparents can be involved at HCES. If you are interested in being a member or if you would like to volunteer, please fill out the form located in the Downloads box to the right.

Ways you can get involved:

Serve on the executive committee
Assist with Grandpeople’s Day
Promote attendance at school theatrical performances and athletic competitions
Serve as an ambassador on campus to welcome other grandparents
Help/read in your grandchild(ren)s classroom
Serve as a guest lecturer in the classroom
Assist with bringing programs to the students
Assist in the library Serve as a school tour guide on special occasions
Volunteer at school-wide special events
Serve as public advocates for the school
Help with fund raising
Join the prayer chain
Work on the school auction
School gardening
Become a member of the Board of Trustees

On May 14th, friends of Holy Comforter families and their children ages 3 - 5 years old are invited to watch our own lion tamers, strong men, acrobats and more at the amazing Kindergarten Circus. Families who RSVP will enjoy reserved seating and additional fun activities and circus snacks for the children after the performance in our Preschool Building and Playground.
